Coventry City have secured the services of star midfielder Callum O’Hare on a new extended contract.

The former Aston Villa midfielder, who had 18 months left on his contract, has committed to a new deal with the Sky Blues until July 2024.

O’Hare joined the club initially on loan in August 2019 and was a key part of City’s League One title winning side.

After joining Mark Robins’s side permanently in July 2020, the attacking midfielder made the step up to the Championship and has been a consistent and important presence in City’s team, combining work-rate and creative ability to become one of the most highly rated attacking midfielders in the second tier.

The 23-year-old has played 111 games for Mark Robins’s men so far, scoring eight goals and earned rave reviews, becoming a firm fans’ favourite as well as the most fouled player in the division.

O’Hare is one of the club’s most saleable assets and some fear he could be the subject of interest from higher placed clubs in the January transfer window.
