Coventry nightclub and music venue Kasbah has arranged an exciting array of talent for punters to enjoy once government guidelines permit gigs to take place once again.

The current roadmap out of lockdown earmarks June 21 as the date music venues like the Kasbah will be able to open again.

So far the Hillfields establishment has announced five varied acts for the city’s music fans to look forward to, including DJs, bands and local rappers.

Bosses at the venue in Hillfields have been making the most of the time in lockdown, and we revealed recently club-goers will be able to enjoy a new rooftop terrace bar.

A spokesman for Kasbah said: “As part of the ‘new normal’ we felt it was necessary to have a greater number of outdoor spaces and the rooftop terrace ticks that box perfectly.

“We are also installing a new ventilation system as part of the changes, which includes UV Filters known to kill 99.9 per cent of all pathogens including Covid-19.

“The club is set to open again on Monday, June 21, and our opening night was sold out in less than an hour.

“Demand was so high and there were so many people left out, that we decided to open the night after as well, Tuesday 22 June and that date is 50 per cent sold out so far.”

“Patrick Topping, one of the hottest techno DJs in UK will be playing our very popular daytime event Day Sessions on Saturday, July 17 2021. A DJ that’s only be doing festivals for the past two years, he’s doing an exclusive club show just for us.

“JAY1, the Coventry rapper will be playing on Saturday, September 25, his biggest hometown show to date. He was a club regular too. He has taken the industry by storm having became one of the most exciting rappers to have burst onto the scene in years.

“Everything Everything, one of the biggest electronic art-pop bands in UK are coming to Coventry for a one-off show on Friday 13 August 2021, in-between the 2 massive shows they have with Foals. This is their only headline show in 2021.

“Holy Goof Coventry born Bass House DJ, one of the biggest in the scene that’s had a huge impact on electronic music. He sold out Printworks in London which is 5,000 cap. He will be playing the club on Saturday 7 August.

“Pa Salieu, another Coventry born rapper, winner of BBC Sound 2021 and has been nominated for the prestigious 2021 Brits rising star award. He’s set for his biggest hometown show to date on Saturday 27 November 2021.”
