BRIT Award winning Arlo Parks will perform in Coventry this summer, with tickets already in short supply for the event.

A special concert will see the singer, crowned Britain’s Breakthrough Act at the BRITs on Tuesday (May 11), sing at the hmv Empire in Coventry on August 5.

Organisers say there are just “a few tickets remaining” for the gig.

Parks, 20, will perform tracks from her new album Collapsed in Sunbeams, which soared to number 3 on the official album chart earlier this year.

Sales of the record have rocketed up by 200% at hmv following Tuesday’s BRIT Awards.

Fans still hoping to bag tickets to the show can purchase standalone tickets, a special CD bundle or Vinyl LP bundle on the hmv website.

And hmv organisers say the demand for tickets to the Coventry gig is evidence that there is a real hunger for the return of live music.

Phil Halliday, Managing Director at hmv and Fopp, said: “We know our fans can’t wait to get back to live music venues, something they’ve missed dearly over the past year.

“We’re thrilled to offer our customers the chance to see the fantastic Arlo Parks following her well-deserved BRIT Awards win this week.

“We’re proud to be playing a part in getting the live entertainment scene back on its feet.”
