Returning Derby County target man Colin Kazim-Richards has been given a clean bill of health to face Coventry City.

Interim Rams’ boss Wayne Rooney says there are no fresh injury concerns for his side ahead of Tuesday night’s Championship clash against the Sky Blues.

Kazim-Richards is available after making his first start for the Rams in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Wycombe Wanderers.

“He is fine. He has recovered really well, he has trained today (Monday), he is available for the game,” said Rooney.

“I was delighted with his performance on Saturday. He gave us something different to what we have had this season. He is obviously a big presence up there, he holds the ball up well and provides great link-up play for us.”

Krystian Bielik was an unused substitute against Wycombe.

The Polish international is building his fitness after being out 10 months with a serious knee injury.

He started against Barnsley earlier this month but he did not make the squad for the games at Bristol City and Middlesbrough.

“He is doing well, he has been training well,” said Rooney.

“We have to be careful with him after a long-term injury. I know that might be frustrating for him, but we have to manage Krystian the best way we can.

“Of course he will be frustrated with what has happened in the last couple of weeks, but he has to be ready when we need him to play.”

Asked where he sees Bielik fitting in the team, Rooney said: “As he showed against Barnsley, he played centre back in that game. His favourite position is in midfield, in front of the back four but I also see him as a player who can break from midfield with his physique and size. He can make the box more and get on the end of crosses.

“He has probably got every attribute you need as a midfield player. So that will be on me in terms of if he plays, how we use him and in what role.”
