West Midlands Police’s traffic team and dog section were involved in the incident with Police Dog Vapour being deployed to track the rider after the fall.
Manning, 31, of Thompsons Road, Coventry, was eventually caught and charged with driving dangerously, driving with no insurance and no licence, and trespass.
He pleaded guilty to all four offences at a previous hearing at magistrates’ court and was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court on Friday (September 25).
He was jailed for six months and banned from driving for two years and three months.
