A six-year-old boy was attacked by teens in a Nuneaton park.
The little boy was grabbed round the neck, slapped on the back of the head and had sand thrown in his face during the nasty incident at Louis Play Area in Riversley.
His distraught mum has appealed to parents to be on their guard.
In a post on Facebook, she said: “Apparently my child isn’t the only one they have done this too.
“The police are aware and they are looking through CCTV to see if they can see who they are.
“They will also be patrolling the area more and if this kind of thing has happened to your child please ring into the police and get these kids stopped.
“I’m deeply hurt and upset that kids more than double my sons age are picking on him. Please watch your children.”
Police are investigating the incident involving two 12 to 13-year-olds on Tuesday (September 22).
Anyone who was in the park area and saw anything or those who have any information should call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident 23/40790/20.
Details can also be passed on via the independent charity Crimestoppers, which is free to call from a landline and confidential, on 0800 555 111.
