Coventry City say they are “delighted” with the response from fans as Championship Club Memberships went on sale.
More than 1,200 have been snapped up in the space of 24 hours after they went on sale on Tuesday morning.
The uptake for the Memberships is capped at 3,500, and they have initially gone on priority sale to supporters who had a 2019/20 season ticket.
“We’ve been delighted with the uptake of the Championship Club Membership after just 24 hours,” Sky Blues chief executive Dave Boddy told the club website.
“To sell this number in just 24 hours is testament to the fantastic support of the Sky Blue Army and their desire to back their club as we go into the Championship season, and we thank everyone who has purchased already.
“Season ticket holders from last season have until 15th September to purchase their Championship Club Membership, before they become available to other supporters.
“These are unprecedented times, which does mean that the capacity for the Membership has had to be limited, so we would urge season ticket holders from last campaign to buy in this priority window to make sure they are able to get a Championship Club Membership.”

There is enough capacity for all of last term’s season ticket holders to purchase, should they wish, before the Memberships open up to 2019/20 Members, JSB and match package holders on September 15.
They will then go on general sale, subject to availability, on Thursday, September 17 at 10.30am.
Mark Robins’ men begin their new campaign on Saturday, with a trip to MK Dons in the Carabao Cup first round.
Their first Championship clash is the following weekend, when they travel to Bristol City.
The season will begin with games taking place behind closed doors, but there remains hope clubs will be able to admit a limited number of fans into grounds from October.
