Coventry City’s first home game of the new season has been moved for live television coverage.

The Sky Blues ‘ Championship clash with Queens Park Rangers at St Andrew’s will be shown live on Sky Sports.

The match was initially due to be played on Saturday, September 19, but will now take place on Friday, September 18, kicking off at 7.45pm.

With games still being played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic, fans are being given the chance to see every game live from the comfort of their own homes.

Coventry have provided the following update with regard to the QPR fixture:

“Fans who buy a Championship Club Membership Season Ticket will still be able to stream the game.

“However as this game has been selected by Sky Sports this means that Match Passes for other supporters to watch via iFollow will not be available.”

Coventry kick off their season next Saturday (September 5) away to MK Dons in the opening round of the Carabao Cup.

Their Championship campaign gets under way the following weekend (September 12) when they take on Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
