Coventry City players past and present have rallied to support Kyle McFadzean with heartfelt messages after the player has announced the loss of his mum.

The Sky Blues centre-back and deputy skipper posted a picture on Instagram this morning (Weds, Nov 8) of her proudly holding up his shirt showing his name on the back, and saying that yesterday was the “worst day of his life”.

The heart-breaking message reads: “Still doesn’t feel real to be saying this but yesterday was the worst day of my life. The thought of not hearing your voice again or not speaking to you every day tears me apart.

“I can’t even think about our life without you in it but you’re not suffering anymore. To say you was the best mum and nannan in the world is an understatement. There are no words to describe how perfect you are. My mum, my world, I hope I make you as proud of me as I’ve always been of you. Sleep tight.”
