Police are still hunting for a man who failed to appear in court after a Samurai sword was found in Coventry.
Barry Cooper was charged with possession of a knife after the weapon was discovered in Bell Green in July.
Officers were called to reports of a man seen waving a sword in Elkington Street on the night of Tuesday, July 7, and a police dog eventually found a Samurai sword under a wooden board in a nearby field.
Cooper, 33, of Barkers Butts Lane, Coundon, was arrested, charged and told to appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on August 3.
A spokesman for the magistrates’ court today told CoventryLive that Cooper is yet to be found.
