Update: The power cut has now been resolved.

More than 500 properties are without electricity this morning after a power cut.

It’s affecting 537 homes in the CV3 area of Coventry according to Western Power Distribution.

It’s hoped that the incident will be resolved by 10am this morning, Saturday, February 13.

The power cut was first reported at 5.03am and it was hoped at first that supplies would be restored by 6.30am, then 9am but this was not possible.

It’s been described as a High Voltage (HV) incident, meaning that the power cut tends to be larger, affecting a wider area and that if your power is off, your neighbour’s supply is also likely to be affected.

WPD has apologised to those affected.

In a statement a spokesman said: “Engineers continue to work on the power cut affecting customers in Coventry and are now estimating to restore all supplies by 9am.

“Our apologies for the delay and any inconvenience.”
