The new Home Bargains site in Walsgrave is set to open next month – and new staff are needed.
Should you be a successful applicant, your new role will see you serving customers in the newly built store and handling and replenishing stock.
Now Home Bargains are advertising for Store Team Members – but you have to be quick as applications close this Sunday (14 February).
The job advert states: “Our Store Team Members deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product queries and providing a prompt service with a smile.
“Store Team Members at Home Bargains cover a range of store duties including customer service, stock replenishment, cash handling and helping to maintain excellent store standards.”
Potential employees are told they will need to be able demonstrate a good understanding of customer service, be hardworking, reliable, polite and professional.
Experience of cash handling, working in a retail environment and of manual handling and stock replenishment is also preferred.
Successful candidates will be part time.
They will be entitled to 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance. This will rise to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years service.
You will also get a staff uniform, access to social and sporting events, and, the thing all applicants want to know about, a store discount of ten percent.
Store Team Member rates of pay vary depending on age. 18-17-year-olds will get from £5.93 per hour, while 18-20-year-olds get £7.55 per hour.
Meanwhile those aged 21-24 will get £8.97 while the those aged 25 and over will receive £9.22 per hour.
Available contracted hours are in 4 hour blocks ranging from 4 hours up to 20 hours per week. Earliest start time can be 5am.
