In all President Félix Tshisekedi appointed nine special advisors in March 2019 after arriving in power in January that year. Their areas of intervention cover a broad range of topics from investments, digital technology, infrastructure and reducing violence against women but their exact role is not clearly defined. The order of 30 January 2009 signed under Joseph Kabila that details how the president’s office operates fails to provide much detail
