An elderly woman has been rushed to hospital after being found in canal in Bedworth.
Police, two ambulances and an air ambulance were spotted at the scene off Marston Lane earlier this morning (Thursday).
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) confirmed that they received a 999 call at 11.33am to report a patient in the water.
A WMAS spokesman said the patient, believed to be an elderly woman, was in a critical condition.
“We were called by police at 11.33am to a patient in the water off Marston Lane,” the spokesman said.
“We sent two land ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance to the scene. On arrival, crews were presented with one patient, a woman in a critical condition.
“She was treated at the scene before being conveyed by land ambulance to George Eliot Hospital for further treatment.”
Warwickshire Police has confirmed that the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
