Tom West – 8

Crucial try from close range. Scrummaged strongly in the first quarter. Full 80-minute shift and 17 tackles made.

Tommy Taylor – 6

Afternoon ended early with ankle injury.

Biyi Alo – 6

Replaced at half-time by Jeff Toomaga-Allen. Scrummaged well before uncontested scrums came in.

Joe Launchbury – 8

Captain’s shift. Shuddering hit on Tom de Glanville. Defended his own line with ferocity.

James Gaskell – 7

Great hit on Charlie Ewels to dislodge ball. Conceded a needless first-half penalty that resulted in a shot at goal.

Jack Willis – 9.5

Five turnovers to move to 38 for the season. 19 tackles. Carried hard, key run for West’s try. England star in waiting.

Thomas Young – N/A

Last two minutes before suffering a blow to the head.

Brad Shields – 7

Body on the line for cause and helped limit Bath’s all-star back row’s impact on the game.

Lima Sopoaga – 5

Kicked a penalty but his 24-minute contribution will be remembered for a pass that gifted Bath an early try.

Zach Kibirige – 7

Once more showcased his excellent ability under a high ball. Few opportunities to attack but always made metres.

Malakai Fekitoa – 7

Strong defensive shift that helped close out Bath’s strong backline.

Ryan Mills – 6

Steady shift from the centre without being eye-catching.

Marcus Watson – 6

Similarly to Mills, played his part but denied the chance to showcase his skills in attack.

Jacob Umaga – 7.5

Scored a lovely try and kicked to touch well after off day against Sale. Handling on occasions was loose but maintained attacking intent to the end.

Dan Robson – 8

Assist for Umaga’s try was classic Robson. Great game management with kicks from hand. A few loose passes, but edged England rival Ben Spencer in the scrum-half battle.
