President Nana Akufo-Addo, re-elected for a second term in December, is in the next few days due to prolong the duties of the current head of Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), Lieutenant General Obed Boama Akwa, who would have been entitled to retire in 2022.Akufo-Addo’s old acquaintance not forgotten Obed Akwa, 65, was appointed head of the armed forces in 2017, less than three weeks after Akufo-Addo was first elected president.
