Police investigations are continuing into a shooting which saw a teenager shot in a Coventry street.
The shooting happened in Pinley Fields, Stoke Aldermoor, on Wednesday (September 2) and an 18-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his arm.
The victim was in the street with friends at around 10.30pm when he was shot.
He was taken to hospital but his injuries were not thought to be either life-threatening or life-changing.
A West Midlands Police spokesman revealed that the investigation continues but as yet no-one has been arrested.
Today (Saturday, September 5) a force spokesman told CoventryLive: “The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this stage.”
The shooting saw a huge emergency services presence in Pinley Fields with ten police vehicles and several ambulances in attendance.
One resident told CoventryLive: “I’ve never seen so many police and ambulance in one place in all my life.”
Police conducted house-to-house enquiries in the area, close to The Moorfield, following the shooting and also stepped-up patrols in the area to reassure the local community.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said on Thursday (September 3): “We are investigating after an 18-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his arm in Pinley Fields, Coventry at about 10.40pm on Wednesday September 2.
“Our enquiries are in the early stages but it is understood the man was standing outside in the street with friends when he was injured.
“He is currently being treated in hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
“House-to-house enquiries are being carried out as detectives work to establish exactly what happened.”
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.33pm on Wednesday, September 2, to Pinley Fields, Coventry.
“An ambulance, two paramedic officers and the critical care car from the Air Ambulance Service attended.
“ One man was given treatment on scene for an injury before being taken to hospital for further checks.”
