A Nuneaton man has been arrested for allegedly spitting at a police custody officer.
The suspect, aged 25, remains in custody today.
It follows the alleged incident yesterday (November 29).
A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said it reportedly happened when the man was taken into custody.
“A 25-year-old man from Nuneaton was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker after it is alleged he spat at a custody officer yesterday,” the Warwickshire Police spokesperson said.
“He had been arrested earlier on suspicion of criminal damage following an incident at a property in Thorncliffe Way, Nuneaton.”
