An impressive ghostly skeleton bride made entirely out of chocolate has been created as a special display at Cadbury World.
Made using 15kg of chocolate – the equivalent of 333 chocolate bars – the figure is made from white chocolate and glitter.
It took chocolatiers Dawn Jenks and Donna Oluban almost two days to shape.
You will be able to see the bride – who staff have nicknamed Barbara -on display until November 20.
Ms Oluban explained how it was created.
She said: “We’ve created her using a bowl of chocolate and two jugs of chocolate and another jug to make the bones for the arms.
“We’ve got the skull that we recycled from a previous project, then some intricate piping for the hair.
“The ruffles were made pouring white chocolate on to the table and scraping it up to create the ruffled effect.
“I’ve got very cold hands, so we just stuck them (the ruffles) on and they stayed where they are.
“She’s got intricately carved little bony feet and some nice little flowers that she’s holding.
“We’ve got lustre all over the creation, creating that white luminous effect, and on the flowers we’ve used some black glitter and some black lustre as well to make it look like there’s a bit of mould growing on the leaves and flowers.
“The most technically difficult part was the ruffles “as you’ve only got a short amount of time to get them on before they melt”.
She added that visitors had been “peeking through the window of the workshop” to catch an early glimpse of the spooky bride.
