New digital support tools available for Autistic people in Coventry and Warwickshire

Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care System (CWICS) and Brain in Hand are working together to bring accessible digital support tools to citizens who need a little bit of extra help day to day.

The programme will provide Brain in Hand, a digital support system, to residents who are 16 and over with support tools accessed via a mobile phone. It will use a digital marketing campaign to directly engage residents within Coventry and Warwickshire.

What is Brain in Hand?

Brain in Hand is a self-management system that combines simple digital tools and practical human support to help people manage anxiety, solve problems and achieve. It can help increase confidence and build independence. It starts with an online Specialist coach who will help the person get set-up and stay motivated. They will have access to digital tools to manage their time and break down tasks or problems into smaller steps.  All the tools and support can be accessed via an app 24/7.

We empower our users to take control of their own self-management, starting with simple practical tasks. Brain in Hand helps people build their skills to grow in independence so that less support is needed over time.

This support is open to individuals who have either been diagnosed or self-diagnosed as Autistic, or ADHD, or awaiting a neurodevelopmental assessment.

This programme of support is for 6 months. There are a limited number of licenses available, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.  The team at CWICS is hoping to expand the service once the pilot has proven to be a success.

The programme will launch on 26 January 2023.
