A man from Nuneaton who had thousands of images of child abuse has avoided going to prison.

Lewis Forshew, who also admitted having 40 extreme porn images involving a horse, amassed the huge collection of still and moving images between 2015 and 2019.

They included 963 images in category A (the most severe), 1,279 in category B and 1,683 in category C.

Forshew, 23, of Willington Street, previously admitted three counts of making the images – which can include downloading – as well as possession of extreme pornographic images and possession of a prohibited image of a child.

The offences were committed in Coventry between September 2015 and April 2019.

He was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court on Thursday (September 3) and handed a two-year prison sentence, which was suspended for two years.

Forshew will also sign the sex offenders’ register for the next 10 years and will have to undertake 120 hours of unpaid work.
