A Nuneaton nightclub has revealed its re-opening date after being closed for more than a year.
Popworld in the town centre has not re-opened its doors since the start of the pandemic.
At one point there were concerns if it was ever going to serve drinks and pop music again after other Popworld bars across the country re-opened.
But an announcement was made on its page on Facebook this week about when the glitter ball will start turning again.
It read: “It’s the news you’ve all been waiting for Nuneaton!
“We’re getting ready behind the scenes to welcome you all back for the first time in over a year and we cannot wait!!!
“We’ll be hosting the best party in town from the 21st of June so DM us now for bookings.”
In another post, it said that it will be open on ‘Mon 21st Tues 22nd Thurs 24th fri 25th Sat 26th and Sunday the 27th on opening week’ and further events will be announced.
Nuneaton Popworld was opened in March 2018 after the former Reflex bar was given a makeover.
A grand total of £100,000 has been splashed on giving the building, also known to generations as the Pen and Wig, a brand new look.
