Police and paramedics were called to Stoney Stanton Road in Coventry this evening following reports of a fight involving around ten people or more.
The incident is believed to have started some time between 6pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday (September 2).
One eyewitness told how they had gone to put their bins out and had seen police officers and West Midlands Ambulance Service in attendance.
It is understood four police cars, an ambulance and an ambulance car attended the scene.
A spokesman for West Midlands Polic e said they had been alerted to reports of a fight in progress along the road.
Also that it had been reported that around ten people were attacking another person.
The police spokesman said there were no reports of weapons being involved.
Speaking at 7pm on Wednesday evening the spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a disorder in Stoney Stanton Road – reports that a fight was in progress.
“It had been reported that around ten people were attacking somebody.”

The spokesman added: “Reports also indicated the people involved in the disorder were running down the road.
“No weapons were seen.”
