Cops say suspected burglars rammed a police vehicle as they tried to get away from a home burglary in Warwickshire.

Officers – along with the force’s dog unit – had been called to reports of a burglary in progress at a residential property in the Claverdon region of the county in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, August 29).

According to police, the suspects fled in a stolen Audi SQ5 and “tried to ram our Police Dog Unit off the road”.

They then attempted to flee on foot.

An individual has been arrested on suspicion of burglary.

The Audi – which police say had previously been stolen in another burglary in Shipston-on-Stour – has been recovered by Warwickshire Police for forensic examination.
