The hunt is still on to find those responsible for a huge fight in Coventry which saw a teenager stabbed.
The stabbing of the 18-year-old man happened on Stoney Stanton Road on Wednesday evening (September 2) following reports of a fight involving around ten people or more.
The incident is believed to have started shortly after 6pm and prompted a large emergency services response, with police and paramedics in attendance.
A West Midlands Police spokesman told CoventryLive today (Saturday, September 5) that the investigation is ongoing and that as yet no arrests have been made.
On Wednesday evening a spokesman for West Midlands Police revealed they had been alerted to reports of a fight in progress along the road.
Also that it had been reported that around ten people were attacking another person.
The following day the police force revealed an 18-year-old had suffered stab wounds during the incident.
The victim was taken to hospital and although the police said his injuries were not thought to be serious, West Midlands Ambulance Service said he received trauma care at the scene and “sustained serious injuries”.
On Thursday (September 3) a police spokesman said officers investigating the stabbing were examining CCTV footage and urged any witnesses to come forward.
The West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We’re investigating after an 18-year-old man was discovered with stab wounds in Stoney Stanton Road, Foleshill, around 6.15pm on Wednesday (September 2).
“He was taken to hospital with leg injuries which are not believed to be serious.
“We’re carrying out CCTV enquiries and anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat or by calling 101. Quote 20CV/210601Q/20.”

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a stabbing in Stoney Stanton Road, Coventry at 6.20pm on Wednesday September 2.
“An ambulance, paramedic officer and critical care paramedic from The Air Ambulance Service attended the scene.
“Crews administered trauma care to one male on scene who had sustained serious injuries before being taken on blue lights to hospital for further emergency care.”
