Six neighbours are celebrating a cash windfall – thanks to their lucky postcode.
The residents of Broad Lane netted £1,000 each after their postcode, CV5 7AN was announced as the daily prize winner in the People’s Postcode Lottery on Sunday, September 6.
And it’s not the first time Coventry has proved lucky recently.
In August, four residents on Essex Close won £1,000 each when their postcode was picked.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners. She said: “Congratulations to our winners! I hope this news made their day.”
What is the People’s Postcode Lottery?
People pay £10 per month to play and winning postcodes are announced every day.
At least 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of the People’s Postcode Lottery have so far raised more than £600m for good causes.
This draw was promoted on behalf of children’s cancer charity Clic Sargent, which has received more than £10.9m in funding thanks to the players.
The charity provides vital emotional, practical, financial and clinical support to young cancer patients and their families during and after treatment.
