A 16-year-old has been arrested after a post office was targeted in a knifepoint robbery.

Staff at the post office on Moseley Road in Kenilworth were targeted by an individual who was said to have a knife yesterday morning (Friday, February 12), prompting an armed police response.

Today, Warwickshire Police has said that a 16-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The teen, from Kenilworth, currently remains in police custody.

According to police, a man is alleged to have walked into the store and threatened staff with a knife before leaving with cash from the till.

Following the incident, Detective Sergeant Ollie Deakin from Warwickshire Police CID said: “Thankfully nobody was injured in this incident but this was a frightening experience for the victim.

“We’re keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time.”
