This year’s I’m a Celebrity has proved very popular, and that’s partly thanks to its new home in Wales.

The celebrities have become residents of Gwrych Castle in Conwy, which is a far cry from the Australian jungle, but that hasn’t stopped their usual antics and the infamous eating trials.

Unfortunately for the celebrities, a delicious meal of Welsh beef followed by some bara brith won’t feature in a trial, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy some tasty Welsh food and drink by following these delicious recipes.

While Wales is already famous for its PGI Welsh Lamb and PGI Welsh Beef, recently an incredible 161 Welsh products were recognised at The Great Taste Awards, which is one of the world’s most coveted food and drink awards. The award winners ranged from small independent artisan producers to large scale distributors, and each were acknowledged following the awards’ star system. The full list can be viewed here.

The Great Taste ratings include 3-stars, which is marked as ‘extraordinarily tasty foods’, 2-stars which is ‘above and beyond delicious’ and 1-star which is a ‘food that delivers fantastic flavour.’

Here is a selection of those award-winning Welsh products which you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home – without needing to win stars for your I’m a Celebrity campmates…
