Leamington Spa has developed a strong reputation for its restaurants, cafes and coffee shops in recent years.

A review left this week following the re-opening said: “The food was stunning and tasted beautiful. Wholesome, cooked well, hot (as it can go cold quickly outside) and presented very well.”

Rated as the number on Mediterranean restaurant in Leamington Spa, the Clarendon Street has 231 excellent reviews from the 267 it has received overall.

Like many eateries up and down the country, the Tachbrook Road-based Windmill Inn has adapted during the global pandemic to serve customers through deliveries and takeaways. They’ve received a whopping 295 excellent reviews.

Another popular eatery that is based in Clarendon Avenue, the steakhouse pub has developed a strong reputation for its ribs, burgers, wings and, of course, its steaks. They’re just 29 excellent reviews away from hitting 500 on TripAdvisor.

The first chain restaurant to appear on this list. Based in Livery Street Regent Court, the Latin American themed food and drink has been a big hit with more than 1,000 people leaving a review – with around 82% of them saying it is either ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’.

Finally, coming in at number 10 in TripAdvisor’s leading restaurants in Leamington Spa is Newbold Street’s Drawing Board.

It is rated as the town’s fourth best bar too but its food has been hitting the mark with a 4.5 rating in that department.

A review left in October 2020 said: “Best meal I’ve had in a looongggg time, tapas selections were brilliant. Decor and mood was perfect, waitresses were beyond helpful and lovely, will be visiting again.”
