A man who was arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 74-year-old man in Coventry has been bailed with conditions.
West Midlands Police arrested the 31-year-old after the elderly man died in hospital following an alleged assault on November 26.
The man was found in a critical condition at a property in Milverton Road, Wood End, before being rushed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
He sadly died soon after.
Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances that led to the elderly man’s death.

Detective Inspector Wes Martin from the Force CID team, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family who are being supported by specialist officers at this difficult time.
“I would urge anyone who was in the Milverton Road area at around 4.45pm yesterday afternoon who might have seen something to get in touch.”
Following the incident, a spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a medical emergency at a property on Milverton Road at 5pm on November 26, two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
“On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was in a critical condition.
“Ambulance staff administered advanced life support at the scene which continued en route to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
