Coventry City boss Mark Robins says the club are moving in on their ninth signing of the summer and that a further two could follow before the end of the transfer window.
Sky Blues fans were treated with two new arrivals in two days this week with Brighton defender Leo Ostigard and Nottingham Forest forward Tyler Walker both arriving.
Ostigard will spend the season on loan with Coventry while Walker made his move permanent, putting pen to paper of a three-year deal.
Coventry City will be without defender Leo Ostigard for next weekend’s Carabao Cup clash with MK Dons.
The 20-year-old defender put pen to paper on a season-long loan deal with the club on Thursday afternoon with parent side Brighton keen to see him play in England for the next stage of his career.
But they have now confirmed that he has received a call-up for Norway Under-21s that will see him jet off this week for friendlies against Gibraltar and Holland.
Coventry City legend Steve Ogrizovic has high hopes for Will Bapaga after another eye catching display from the teenager.
“He looks an exciting player, I’ve got to say. I was impressed with him at Swindon a few weeks ago,” he told BBC Coventry and Warwickshire.
UPDATE ON HILSSNER
Coventry City new-boy Marcel Hilssner is suffering with what the club suspect could be a form of asthma ahead of the new season.
The Sky Blues summer signing has featured frequently during pre-season but not as often as he would have liked, missing Tuesday night’s clash with Burton Albion after being pulled from the warm-up at the final moment.
