Coventry City fans have been giving their thoughts on a reported breakthrough in talks over a return to the Ricoh Arena.
The Sky Blues are in their second season of playing their home games at Birmingham City’s St Andrew’s due to an ongoing dispute with Ricoh Arena owners Wasps.
However. According to reports, talks between the two clubs are set to reopen in the new year over Coventry possibly returning to the City for the 2021/22 campaign .
Wasps are said to be in financial difficulty, making an agreement between the two clubs more likely to happen, with the Sky Blues hopefully that a deal can be reached.
It is hoped that Coventry will be able to move into their own new stadium in the next few years, with a partnership with Warwick University having been reached over a possible new venue.
If talks with Wasps again fall through, then Coventry do have the option of extending their ground share with Birmingham for another year.
Upon the new update, Coventry fans took to social media to give their thoughts, with many not holding their breaths over the latest developments.
Alex Smith : How many times have we heard this before? I won’t hold my breath
